ACIPHEX Drug Use: Aciphex blocks acid production in the stomach. Aciphex is generally prescribed for short-term (4-8 weeks) treatment of inflammation and sores in the esophagus. This condition is known as gastro esophageal reflux disease (GERD), which is caused by backflow of stomach acid into the esophagus over a prolonged period of time.

ACIPHEX Drug Usage Instructions: Take Achiphex once a day. Swallow the Aciphex tablet whole, it should not be crushed, split or chewed. You may continue to use antacids during Aciphex treatment.

ACIPHEX Storage Instructions: Store Aciphex at room temperature and protect from moisture.

ACIPHEX Missed Dose: Take Aciphex as soon as you remember. Do not take two doses of Aciphex at once. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the one you missed and go back to your regular Aciphex dosage schedule.

ACIPHEX Side Effects: Headache is the most common side effect of Aciphex, affecting 2% of users.
