ARICEPT Drug Use: Aricept drug is one of two drugs which can provide some relief from the symptoms of early Alzheimer's disease. (Cognex is the other). Aricept drug can temporarily improve brain function in some Alzheimer's sufferers, although it does not help the progress of the underlying disease.

ARICEPT Drug Usage Instructions: Aricept drug should be taken once a day, just before bedtime. Aricept drug will not work if it is not taken regularly, so be sure it's taken every day. It can be taken with or without food.

ARICEPT Storage Instructions: Store Aricept drug at room temperature

ARICEPT Missed Dose: Do not take 2 doses of Aricept drug at once. Take Aricept drug as soon as you remember, however, if it is almost time for the next Aricept drug dose, skip the one you missed and go back to the regular schedule.

ARICEPT Side Effects: Side effects of Aricept are more likely with higher doses. Side effects of Aricept drug are more likely with higher doses. The most common side effects of Aricept drug are: diarrhea, fatigue, insomnia, loss of appetite, muscle cramps, nausea, and vomiting. Other side effects may include: abnormal dreams, arthritis, bruising, depression, dizziness, fainting, frequent urination, headache, pain, sleepiness, weight loss.

Special Precautions with ARICEPT: To maintain any improvement, Aricept drug must be taken regularly. If the Aricept drug is stopped, its benefits will soon be lost. Patience is in order when starting the Aricept drug. It can take up to 3 weeks for any positive effects to appear. Avoid aricept drug if you have an allergic reaction to the drug itself or an allergy to the group of antihistamines that includes Hismanal, Claritin, Allegra, Atarax, Periactin, Optimine, and Nolahist. Aricept can aggravate some asthma and other breathing problems, and can increase the risk of seizures. This drug can also slow the heartbeat and possibly cause fainting in people who have a heart condition. Report all Aricept drug side effects to your doctor.
