CARDIZEM Drug Use: Cardizem drug acts as a calcium channel blocker normally used in the treatment of high blood pressure and angina. Cardizem Drug is used almost exclusively in its long term form, once a day.
CARDIZEM Drug Usage Instructions: Cardizem Drug is usually given as a once a day formulation in capsule form. Normal Cardizem Drug dose ranges from 120mg a day up to 360mg a day. Always see your doctor to specify Cardizem Drug dose.
CARDIZEM Storage Instructions: Store Cardizem at room temperature out of direct sunlight. Keep the Cardizem Drug out of steamy bathroom as it will cause the capsules to stick together.
CARDIZEM Missed Dose: If you miss a dose of Cardizem Drug take it as soon as you remember except if it's near to the time for the next dose. If this is the case skip the Cardizem Drug dose and resume your normal schedule. Never double up on Cardizem Drug doses of this medication.
CARDIZEM Side Effects: The most common side effects of Cardizem Drug are: dizziness, fluid retention, slow heart rate, weakness, nausea and rash. Many other side effects of Cardizem Drug include abnormal dreams, amnesia and indigestion.
Special Precautions with CARDIZEM: Do not stop taking Cardizem Drug until you have spoken to your doctor or pharmacist. If you have kidney disease or have low blood pressure. Always talk to your doctor and give him your full medical history before taking Diltiazem.
