COZAAR Drug Use: Cozaar is used in the treatment of high blood pressure

COZAAR Drug Usage Instructions: Cozaar medicine can be used alone or in conjunction with other blood pressure medications, such as diuretics (water pills). Newer indications for Cozaar medicine include slowing the progress of kidney disease due to type 2 diabetes. Cozaar is a new class of medications called angiotensin 2 receptor antagonists. Cozaar works in part by preventing the hormone angiotensin 2 from constricting the blood vessels, which tends to raise blood pressure.

COZAAR Storage Instructions: Cozaar can be taken with or without food. Cozaar should be taken at the same time each day to establish a routine.

COZAAR Missed Dose: Cozaar medicine can be stored at room temperature. Cozaar should be kept away from direct sunlight.

COZAAR Side Effects: If you miss a dose of Cozaar you should take it as soon as you remember except if it's close to the time for the next dose. If this is the case you should skip that last Cozaar dose and just resume your regular Cozaar medicine schedule. Do not double up on Cozaar medicine doses.

Special Precautions with COZAAR: The most common side effects of Cozaar include: cough, dizziness, upper respiratory infection. Also, some of the other side effects include allergic reactions, insomnia, diarrhea and indigestion. These are just a few of the possible side effects of Cozaar medicine.
