CYTOTEC Drug Use: Cytotec is used for stomach problems because it reduces the production of stomach acid and also helps protect the stomach lining. This is for people who have ulcers or the beginnings of an ulcer.
CYTOTEC Drug Usage Instructions: Cytotec is usually given twice a day with meals. It is normally given alongside an NSAID to help with stomach protection while the NSAID helps with the joint pain. Together you get the pain relief of the NSAID and the stomach protection of the misoprostol.
CYTOTEC Storage Instructions: Cytotec can be stored at room temperature in a sealed container out of direct sunlight.
CYTOTEC Missed Dose: If a dose is missed of this drug you should take it as soon as you remember unless it’s close to the time for the next dose. If this is the case skip the missed dose and continue on with the regular schedule. Do not double dose.
CYTOTEC Side Effects: Most common are: abdominal cramps, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, Taking with food can decrease these side effects. There can also be some bloating and looses stool. If you have any of these contact your doctor.
Special Precautions with CYTOTEC: Do not take if you have had and allergic reaction to any of the components of Cytoctec. Do not take if you are pregnant or are breast feeding.
