DEPAKOTE Drug Use: Depakote is an allergy medicine which comes in an immediate release form and delayed release form. Depakote is used to treat different types of seizures and convulsions or an allergy. Depakote can be used alongside other epilepsy medications. The extended release form of Depakote is for the migraines and the short acting part is for the manic phases.

DEPAKOTE Drug Usage Instructions: Take Depakote with meals to avoid upset stomach. Depakote is an allergy medicine that is to be taken along with water without chewing.

DEPAKOTE Storage Instructions: Store Depakote at room temperature. Depakote should be kept away from direct sunlight, and in a tightly sealed container.

DEPAKOTE Missed Dose: If you miss a dose of Depakote, take Depakote as soon as you remember except if it's close to the time for the next dose, if this is the case skip the missed Depakote dose and continue on with your regular schedule.

DEPAKOTE Side Effects: The more common side effects of Depakote are: abdominal pain, breathing difficulty, indigestion, vision problems, weight loss or gain. Take Depakote with prescription, some more side effects of Depakote include nervousness, in coordination, fever, flu, hair loss and many more. If you experience any of these side effects due to Depakote, talk to your doctor.

Special Precautions with DEPAKOTE: If you have liver disease or a non functioning liver, or have any type of allergic reaction to Depakote (allergy medicine) or any of it's constituents you should not take it.
