EFFEXOR XR Drug Use: Generic Effexor is used in the treatment of depression. Symptoms of depression usually include changes in appetite, sleep habits, decreased sex drive, fatigue that interfere with daily functioning.
EFFEXOR XR Drug Usage Instructions: Generic Effexor comes in both a regular form that is take twice a day and a XR form that is given once a day. Generic Effexor should be given with food (no matter which form you are taking). Generally it takes several weeks to get the full effect of Generic Effexor, so don’t stop taking Generic Effexor just because you don’t feel better immediately.
EFFEXOR XR Storage Instructions: Effexor should be stored at room temperature out of direct sunlight (the XR are capsules and will tend to melt if left in direct sunlight).
EFFEXOR XR Missed Dose: If you miss a dose of Generic Effexor you should take it as soon as you remember except if it’s very near the time for your next dose. If this is the case skip the Generic Effexor dose and resume your regular schedule. Do not double up on the Generic Effexor dosage.
EFFEXOR XR Side Effects: The most common side effects of Generic Effexor includes: bronchitis, belching, abnormal vision, chest pain, labored breathing, lockjaw. Generic Effexor can also cause loss of tough with reality, nausea, vomiting, migraine and inflammation of the prostate gland. If any of these persist contact your doctor immediately.
Special Precautions with EFFEXOR XR: Be cautious while taking Generic Effexor if you have high blood pressure or have had kidney or liver disease. Never take Generic Effexor if you are allergic to Effexor or any of its constituents.
