ESTRING Drug Use: Estring is an estrogen replacement system for the vaginal problem relief that often occur after/during menopause (Dryness, itching, burning, and difficult and painful urination). Estring can also be used for postmenopausal urinary problems like urinary urgency and difficulty urinating. So start taking Estring only after getting Estring prescribing information about its usage.
ESTRING Drug Usage Instructions: Every Estring is left in place in the vagina for 3 months at a time. Before using Estring, you should have all the Estring prescribing information about it. To insert Estring, you should press Estring into an oval ring and insert as deeply as you comfortably as you can. If Estring is in correct position you should not feel the ring at all. If Estring slips out you may wash it with warm soapy water and replace it. And it is advised to have all the required Estring prescribing information, before using.
ESTRING Storage Instructions: Room temperature out of direct sunlight is fine storage instructions for Estring.
ESTRING Missed Dose: If the ring is not replaced after the three month time table you will find that your estrogen levels will slowly begin to decrease and you may start to get symptoms of decreased estrogen.
ESTRING Side Effects: The most common side effects of Estring are: abdominal pain, back pain, flu like symptoms, joint pain, insomnia, vaginal discharge, sinus inflammation, vaginal discomfort or pain and headaches.
Special Precautions with ESTRING: If you have had or are at risk of getting any type of estrogen dependant cancer, you should not take Estring. Estrogen therapy can also increase the chance of you getting other types of cancer like cervical. You may also be at risk of developing high blood pressure, blood clots, and gallbladder problems.
