Chemical names: Rivastigmine tartrate
EXELON Drug Use: The medication is used to treat Alzheimer’s disease. It can temporarily slow down the progression of the disease in a certain sample of patients.
EXELON Drug Usage Instructions: Store at room temperature but out of direct sunlight as Exelon comes in a gel cap.
EXELON Storage Instructions: If a dose of this drug is missed you should take it as soon as you remember, but if this is close to the time for the next dose, you should skip the missed dose and resume regular dose schedule, Do not double up on the doses.
EXELON Missed Dose: Some of the common side effects are: anxiety, aggression, urinary infection, nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain, accidental injury, loss of appetite, and tremors among others. See your doctor if any of these symptoms or others develop while on a regimen of Exelon.
EXELON Side Effects: You must be patient when taking this drug as it may take up to several months to work to its full effect. Exelon usually causes nausea in the beginning and may cause weight loss, if this happens make sure to contact the physician immediately.
