Drug Name: HYZAAR
Pronounced: HIGH-zhar
Chemical names: Losarten potassium

HYZAAR Drug Use: Hyzaar is used for the treatment of high blood pressure and COPD. This is a combination drug because it has losartan and hydrochlorothiazide. With both of these together it helps to decrease blood pressure to a much greater degree.

HYZAAR Drug Usage Instructions: You can take Hyzaar with of without food

HYZAAR Storage Instructions: it makes no difference for drug absorption. Try to take Hyzaar at the same time each day.

HYZAAR Missed Dose: Store hyzaar at room temperature in a sealed container and away from direct sunlight.

HYZAAR Side Effects: If you miss a dose of Hyzaar take it as soon as you remember. If it’s close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and resume normal Hyzaar dosing schedule. Do not double up on doses of Hyzaar.

Special Precautions with HYZAAR: Dizziness, upper respiratory infection, abdominal pain, back pain, sinus inflammation, heart palpitations, fluid retention and swelling and cough. If you have any of these or others contact your doctor immediately.
