Chemical names: cromolyn sodium
INTAL Drug Use: This is an inhaler used for its anti-asthmatic/anti-allergic properties. It’s used to prevent asthma attacks and prevent and treat seasonal allergies. It is not used for acute attacks, only maintenance therapy
INTAL Drug Usage Instructions: It comes in an inhaler form, you shake it and inhale as directed on the leaflet.
INTAL Storage Instructions: Store Intal at room temperature and out of direct sunlight.
INTAL Missed Dose: If you miss a dose take it as soon as you remember, unless it’s time for your next dose, then skip your dose and resume your regular schedule.
INTAL Side Effects: Common side effect include: cough nasal congestion, nausea, sneezing, throat irritation, and wheezing, bad taste in mouth, dizziness, teary eyes, and tightness in throat, painful urination, joint swelling and pain, nosebleeds. If you have any of these or others contact your doctor.
Special Precautions with INTAL: Do not use if allergic. Care must be taken if you have kidney or liver disease. Always rinse mouth out after using.
