LANOXIN Drug Use: Lanoxin is used for the treatment of congestive heart failure, types of irregular heart rate, and other heart associated heart problems. Lanoxin helps to improve the efficiency and strength of your heart which can then lead to better circulation and the decrease of swelling which is a common side effect of people with high blood pressure and congestive heart failure. Lanoxin is not usually used by itself but in conjuction with other meds like diuretics and ACE inhibitors.
LANOXIN Drug Usage Instructions: Lanoxin should be taken once a day at the same time each day. Do not stop taking this drug without your doctor’s permission. It’s best to take Lanoxin on an empty stomach. Avoid eating Lanoxin with high fiber foods.
LANOXIN Storage Instructions: Store Lanoxin at room temperature. This drug should be kept in a sealed container and out of direct sunlight.
LANOXIN Missed Dose: If you miss a Lanoxin dose take it as soon as you remember (within 12 hours). If you remember later, skip the Lanoxin dose you missed and go back to your regular Lanoxin schedule, never take 2 Lanoxin doses at once, this can be very dangerous.
LANOXIN Side Effects: The most common side effects of Lanoxin are: irregular heart beat, weight reduction, also can cause dangerous and even fatal reactions. Stay in close contact with your doctor when you start Lanoxin as some of these side effects of this drug can be very serious.
Special Precautions with LANOXIN: Do not take Lanoxin if allergic to any of the components. Never stop taking Lanoxin without first talking to your doctor. Take Lanoxin drug exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
