LESCOL Drug Use: Lescol XL is used to decrease cholesterol in the bloodstream, in fact what it does is reduce LDL (the bad cholesterol) and helps to slightly increase HDL (the good cholesterol). Lescol XL can help your body from developing paques in the arteries which cause clogging of the arteries and raise blood pressure, which in turn may raise the risk of a heart attack. Along with any cholesterol medication you should always take into account a good diet which will greatly help in decreasing your LDL and increase your HDL.
LESCOL Drug Usage Instructions: It's best to take any cholesterol medication at night time with or after the evening meal. The reason for this is that the majority of the body's cholesterol is made between 2 and 3 am in the morning.
LESCOL Storage Instructions: Keep Lescol XL at room temperature, in a sealed container. Lescol XL should be kept away from direct sunlight (as it's a gelatin capsule).
LESCOL Missed Dose: If you miss a dose of Lescol XL, take the drug as soon as you remember unless it's close to the time for your next Lescol XL dose, if this is the case just skip the dose and resume your regular Lescol XL schedule.
LESCOL Side Effects: Some common side effects of Lescol XL drug are: back pain, accidental injury, nausea, upper respiratory infection, diarrhea, indigestion, joint diseases, flu like symptoms, muscle pain, abdominal pain, joint pain, nasal inflammation.
