MICARDIS (HCT) Drug Use: This is another ACE inhibitor that is used to control blood pressure. It also comes in a form that already has the diuretic added to it Micardis HCT.
MICARDIS (HCT) Drug Usage Instructions: Micardis is usually given once a day in the morning. You can take it with or without food. Try to take if at the same time everyday so that your blood levels are even. It may take a few weeks to see the full effects of this medication so do not stop unless directed to by you doctor.
MICARDIS (HCT) Storage Instructions: Keep Micardis at room temperature in a sealed container away from direct sunlight.
MICARDIS (HCT) Missed Dose: If you miss a dose of Micardis take it as soon as you remember except if it’s near to the time for your next dose. If this is the case, skip the previous dose and just resume your normal schedule. Do not double up on the dose.
MICARDIS (HCT) Side Effects: Some side effects include: diarrhea, back pain, sinus inflammation, respiratory tract infection, chest pain, dizziness, swelling, flu-like symptoms, fatigue, high blood pressure, muscle aches, indigestion. If you have any of these or any others talk to your Doctor.
Special Precautions with MICARDIS (HCT): Do not take if allergic to Micardis or any other ACE inhibitor. Sometimes when you begin therapy with Micardis you get a severe drop in blood pressure cal your Doctor if this happens. Also if you have had previous kidney problems tell your Doctor before starting therapy with Micardis.
