PROCARDIA Drug Use: Procardia is used to treat angina. Procardia XL is also used to treat high blood pressure.
PROCARDIA Drug Usage Instructions: Take the dose exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Procardia and Procardia XL tablets should be swallowed whole. Do not break, crush, chew or split them.
PROCARDIA Storage Instructions: Procardia and Procardia XL can be stored at room temperature. Protect from moisture, light, humidity, and excessive heat.
PROCARDIA Missed Dose: Never take 2 doses at the same time. If you miss a dose of Procardia, take the forgotten dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the one you missed and go back to your regular dosage schedule.
PROCARDIA Side Effects: More common side effects of Procardia XL may include: constipation, cough, dizziness, fatigue, flushing, giddiness, headache, heartburn, heat sensation, light-headedness, mood changes, muscle cramps, nasal congestion, nausea, sore throat, swelling of arms, legs, hands and feet, tremors and wheezing. Other side effects may occur and have been reported. Be sure to report these or any other side effects to your Doctor. Only your Doctor can determine if you should continue treatment with Procardia.
Special Precautions with PROCARDIA: Do not use Procardia XL if you have ever had an allergic reaction to it or any other calcium channel blockers (Adalat, Calan, others). Be sure to inform your Doctor of your complete medical history.
