Drug Name: Q-VAR
Pronounced: KEW- var
Chemical names: Beclomethasone

Q-VAR Drug Use: This is a steroid used for the long term treatment of asthma. It prevents the symptoms of asthma, and help with the symptoms of hay fever.

Q-VAR Drug Usage Instructions: Shake well and inhale 2 puffs twice a day. This is the normal dose.

Q-VAR Storage Instructions: Store at room temperature away from direct sunlight.

Q-VAR Missed Dose: If you miss a dose take as soon as you remember if it’s too close to the time for the next dose, skip the previous dose and resume your regular schedule. Do not double up on doses.

Q-VAR Side Effects: The most common are: hives, itching, joint pain, nasal and throat dryness, dizziness, agitation, acne, sneezing, skin rash, irritation, dry mouth, headache. If you experience any of these or other side effects contact your doctor.

Special Precautions with Q-VAR: You must remember that this is not used for an asthma attack. It’s used for long term symptoms.
