Chemical names: Ranitidine Hydochloride
ZANTAC Drug Use: Used to treat upper intestinal ulcer, to maintenance therapy for duodenal ulcers also for gastro esophageal reflux disease.
ZANTAC Drug Usage Instructions: Follow doctor’s prescribed instructions for drug dosage.
ZANTAC Storage Instructions: Can be stored at room temperature away from direct heat and light. Keep in tightly sealed container and do not store in bathroom with excessive steam.
ZANTAC Missed Dose: If you miss a dose take right away unless it’s time for the next dose in this case you must skip the dose and resume your regular drug schedule.
ZANTAC Side Effects: The common side effect is: headache. Less common are: constipation, heart block, agitation, yellow eyes and skin, inflammation of the pancreas, nausea and vomiting, and joint pain.
Special Precautions with ZANTAC: Avoid taking alcohol while taking Zantac. Zantac can interfere with absorption rates of other drugs so make sure to talk to your doctor before taking Zantac .
