ZITHROMAX Drug Use: Zithromax is used to treat variety of bacterial infections. It prevents bacteria from multiplying and growing. This antibiotic is very strong and usually used only after others have failed.
ZITHROMAX Drug Usage Instructions: Zithromax is usually given twice on the first day and then once daily after that. It should be taken on an empty stomach at least one hour before or two hours after meals.
ZITHROMAX Storage Instructions: Keep Zithromax at room temperature away from direct heat and sunlight. Keep in tightly sealed container.
ZITHROMAX Missed Dose: If you miss a dose of this drug take it as soon as possible unless it’s close to the time for your next dose if this is the case then skip the dose and resume your regular schedule. Don’t double up on doses.
ZITHROMAX Side Effects: The most common side effects are: abdominal pain, diarrhea, loose stool, nausea and vomiting. Also less common effects are chest pain and dizziness. See your doctor if any of these applies to you.
Special Precautions with ZITHROMAX: Do not take if pregnant or planning to become pregnant. Not usually given to children under the age of sixteen.
