ACIPHEX Drug Use: Aciphex is whats know as a proton pump inhibitor that is used to treat ulcers and ulcer symptoms. Aciphex is also used to treat GERD (gastroesophagial reflux disease). Aciphex treats ulcer symptoms by decreasing the amount of acid that is produced by certain cells in your stomach. It can also be used to treat Zollinger Ellison syndrome. If your physician deems it appropriate Aciphex may also be used in conjuction with certain antibiotics to treat ulcers.

ACIPHEX Drug Usage Instructions: Aciphex should be taken once a day. You should not take Aciphex if you are allergic to Rabeprazole or any of the constituents in this formulation. If you are allergic to any other proton pump inhibitors you should not take Aciphex.. If you miss a dose take Aciphex as soon as you remember unless it is close to the time for the next dose. If this is the case simply skip the missed dose of Aciphex and continue with the regular dosage schedule. Do not double up on the doses. It may take several days to get the full effect of Acipihex. Do not stop taking unless advised by your doctor.

ACIPHEX Storage Instructions: Aciphex should be stored at room temperature. Do not store in direct sunlight or near direct sources of heat and keep away from high moisture areas. Do not crush as the tablets are enteric coated.

ACIPHEX Missed Dose: If you miss a dose take it as soon as you remember. If that is near to the time for the next dose , skip the missed dose and continue with the regular schedule. Do not double up on doses.

ACIPHEX Side Effects: The most common side effects of Aciphex include nausea and vomiting. If you experience any allergic reations from Aciphex ( trouble breathing, hives, rash)discontinue immediately.

Special Precautions with ACIPHEX: Do not take Aciphex if you are allergic to any of the constituents. Do not take if you have had problems with other proton pump inhibitors.
