Zithromax Drug Use: Zithromax is used to treat variety of bacterial infections. It prevents bacteria from multiplying and growing. This antibiotic is very strong and usually used only after others have failed.
It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.
Zithromax Drug Usage Instructions: Zithromax is usually given twice on the first day and then once daily after that. It should be taken on an empty stomach at least one hour before or two hours after meals.
To clear up your infection completely, use Zithromax for the full course of treatment. Keep using it even if you feel better in a few days.
Zithromax Storage Instructions: Zithromax tablets should be stored between 15 to 30 degrees C (59 to 86 degrees F). Away from direct heat and sunlight.
Zithromax Missed Dose: If you miss a dose of Zithromax, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take Zithromax double or extra doses.
Zithromax Side Effects: The most common side effects are: abdominal pain, diarrhea, loose stool, nausea and vomiting. Also less common effects are chest pain and dizziness. See your doctor if any of these applies to you.
Special Precautions with Zithromax: Do not take if pregnant or planning to become pregnant. Not usually given to children under the age of sixteen. Zithromax is to be used only by the patient for whom it is prescribed. Do not share it with other people. Do not use Zithromax for other health conditions.
